Painting - Landscape /animated/

So I originally wanted this landscape to be animated into a short film. Two weeks wasn't enough time, and I had no idea how to animate. So this is pretty much my second attempt at animating. All of the models are credited to someone else via doing a search on sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/ and then modifying in Sketchup then importing into Maya and doing more revisions.
Anyway, here's a rough draft of scene 2. I'll probably cut this up into two or three pieces when I get into post-production.

Big Sur/Carmel, CA - /progress/

This is as far as I got with the valley painting. I used hard and soft pastels and used a wet brush to dot the pastel (like paint) onto the paper.
You can see the dots a bit better here... hehe /why I didn't finish in 7 days/ :)
This was a quick 30 minute gouache painting I did on the beach, in the wind... in the cold. Not finished either, just need to add the ocean and sky... maybe some other little details.
Oh! I also used sea water in this... brought some home with me to finish with. :))
These last two were 15 minute marker drawings on the beach. I wasn't familiar with the medium, so I thought i'd give it a whirl. I may go back over these with some fine tip ink pens.

Off to secluded art retreat!

See ya in 7 days! I'll blog some of the watercolor paintings and other medium art on here ^__^
